La Québécoise
Two sporting challenges. One exceptional setting
The first-ever running of La Québécoise will feature two cycling loops , an array of authentic backcountry vistas and challenges for all rider levels. This inaugural cyclosportive will take you to the charming rural roads of Île d’Orléans, the cobbled streets of Old Québec City or the hilly terrain of Stoneham region, and you’ll complete your ride under the same finish line arch where the winner of the Québec City Grand Prix Cycliste will be crowned the next afternoon, at the foot of Québec’s Parliament.
La Montréalaise
An ingenious blend of city and country sights.
With its three loops of 100 km, 145 km and over 190 km, the inaugural instalment of La Montréalaise promises a study in contrasts. The start and finish point, Parc Avenue at the foot of Mount Royal, will welcome the pros of UCI WorldTour peloton the next day. La Montréalaise will take all riders across the St. Lawrence River to the South Shore, linking up with the Circuit du Paysan (Countryman’s Tour tourist route). Leaving the skyscrapers behind, a realm of apple orchards and vineyards awaits, with the chance to fully appreciate the serenity of rolling through picturesque natural settings. The more combative riders can look forward to a fine challenge: the natural settings. The more combative cyclists can look forward to a classic local challenge: the 342-metre Covey Hill climb, marking the halfway point of the longest of the three loops, just a few turns of the crank from the U.S. border. A great mix of urban and rural.
